The UPDF parade delivered military precision, thunderous boots and razor-sharp discipline, but one man became the unexpected star of the day.
Special Forces Command officer Brig Gen John Bosco Asinguza who was the chief agitator during the energetic march pasts that electrified Kololo Independence Grounds at President Museveni’s swearing-in ceremony.
Asinguza’s commanding voice, confidence and swagger while leading sections of the parade sent the audience into wild applause, with many spectators pulling out phones to record the now-viral moment.
From synchronized salutes to perfectly timed drills, the UPDF units showcased professionalism and combat readiness in front of African leaders and dignitaries. As the forces went through their paces, people could be heard praising CDF General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, saying there were noticeable changes in the forces.
The military spectacle featured troops from different branches of the armed forces marching with precision as military bands blasted patriotic tunes across the packed grounds.
