“A Victory of Confidence and Vision” – Museveni Congratulates Tanzania’s President Suluhu

President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has congratulated Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, President of the United Republic of Tanzania, upon her re-election, describing her victory as a reflection of the Tanzanian people’s confidence in her leadership and vision.

In a statement issued on Sunday, President Museveni commended President Samia and the ruling Chama Cha Mapinduzi (CCM) party for securing another term, saying the result affirms the trust citizens have in the government’s development agenda.

“This victory reflects the confidence that the people of Tanzania have in her leadership and vision,” Museveni said.

The Ugandan leader reaffirmed Uganda’s commitment to strengthening the deep-rooted ties between Kampala and Dodoma, highlighting ongoing cooperation in trade, infrastructure, and regional integration.

“Uganda and Tanzania share historic bonds of friendship and cooperation. I look forward to working with President Samia to further strengthen our partnership in trade, infrastructure, and regional integration for the peace and prosperity of our peoples,” he added.

Uganda and Tanzania enjoy strong bilateral relations, anchored in shared history and mutual economic interests, including key regional projects such as the East African Crude Oil Pipeline (EACOP) and various cross-border infrastructure initiatives.

    My original ancestors were from karagwe in Tanzania I am told they were moving all through absynia from Israel. Others had continued south while others continued to Cameroon.
