Ms Ikyiriza Gold, Vice President of the Uganda National Students Association (UNSA), is attending the Global Gateway High-Level Youth Event in Brussels, Belgium, organized by the European Commission.
The event, themed “Engage – Empower – Connect,” brings together youth leaders from various European youth platforms and beyond, promoting cross-border collaboration and empowerment.
Speaking to this publication about her participation, Gold stated, “Lobbying for young people in Uganda is my aim here.”
“Creating a connected, empowered, knowledgeable young people in Uganda is my aim,” Gold added.

She emphasized the importance of representing Uganda’s youth on the global stage and advocating for opportunities that support their development and well-being.
The two-day event focuses on fostering dialogue, empowering youth, and creating networks that can drive change.

By participating, Gold seeks to leverage international partnerships to enhance the prospects of young people in Uganda, ensuring their voices are heard in global discussions.
